I got this one from my mom and it’s a superfood salad that is VERY good for scrubbing out your body on the inside.

1. Get some tender fresh kale.
2. take leaves off stalks and blend in food processor into small pieces but not mush.
3. Add lemon or lime juice to taste.
4. Add 1/2 a clove of crushed garlic (a little goes a long way).
5. Pour oil over mixture (the oil softens the tartness)
6. Add raisins (but not too many-raisins have sugar and you don’t want too much of that)
7. If at all possible, allow to sit 24 hours.
8. Add nuts

Enjoy! Eating veggies raw is the best since they retain their nutrients. The lemon/lime juice and garlic will soften the tartness and give the kale a nutty flavor. Enjoy!

I know a few people who are trying to live the “no sugar” lifestyle (including myself). It can certainly be challenging at times in a society where sugar is found in almost everything! Here are a few recipes from my kitchen, as well as my mother-in-love, Krista’s kitchen, to help you along your way. If you have a good recipe please share!
