Peroxide
(safer and healthier than bleach)

By Becky Ransey (a doctor’s wife)

My husband has been in the medical field for over 36 years, and most doctors don’t tell you about peroxide. Have you ever smelled bleach in a doctor’s office?  No!! Why? Because it smells, and it is not
healthy! Ask the nurses who work in the doctor’s offices, and ask them if they use bleach at home. They are wiser and know better!

Did you also know bleach was invented in the late forties? It’s chlorine, folks! It was used to kill our troops in World War II. Peroxide came into popular use during and after WWI. It was used to
save and help cleanse the needs of our troops and hospitals. Please think about this.

1. Take one capful and hold in your mouth for ten minutes daily, then spit it out. No more canker sores, and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash.

2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them free of germs.

Imagine a cloth that kills 99.9% of bacteria using just water. And it works much better than a regular cloth, picking up dirt more than twice as efficiently as a regular cloth, and leaving your surfaces streak-free.  Well, such a thing does exist.  It’s called an “Enviro” microfiber cloth, lined with antibacterial silver, and made by Norwex.  And this is only one example.

I’m excited about this company because not only do their products work much better than what I’ve been using all along, but their cleaning tools DON’T USE CHEMICALS!  Just water, that’s all it takes, and you will have a spotless germ-free kitchen, mirror, floor…you name it.

And the best part of course…you can buy it from….me!  Seriously though, I would be promoting this even if I wasn’t getting money out of it, so I figured I might as well make a comission if I’m going to be so excited about it!

I would love to come do a show at your place…hostesses/hosts get lots of free stuff, there are prizes and the shows are great fun.  And you save your health and money in the long run.

Foods You Don’t Have to Buy Organic

Taken from www.drweil.com

The Environmental Working Group (www.ewg.org) is a nonprofit organization that advocates in Washington D.C., for policies that protect global and individual health. Among the many valuable services they provide is a Shoppers’ Guide to Pesticides in Produce. It is based on the results of nearly 43,000 pesticide tests performed on produce and collected by federal agencies between 2000 and 2004. Nearly all of the data used took into account how people typically wash and prepare produce – for example, apples were washed and bananas peeled before testing.

Of the 43 different fruit and vegetable categories tested, the following twelve foods do not have to be organic. These had the lowest pesticide load, and consequently are the safest conventionally grown crops to consume from the standpoint of pesticide contamination:

  • Eggplant
  • Cabbage
  • Banana
  • Kiwi
  • Asparagus
  • Sweet peas (frozen)
  • Mango
  • Pineapple
  • Sweet corn (frozen)
  • Avocado
  • Onion

Why should you care about pesticides? The EWG points out that there is a growing consensus in the scientific community that small doses of pesticides and other chemicals can have adverse effects on health, especially during vulnerable periods such as fetal development and childhood.

To this list, I would add one caveat: When it comes to pesticide use, there is more to consider than just the residues that are ingested by the consumer. Although peeled foods such as bananas, mangoes, avocadoes and kiwis may spare the consumer from significant pesticide exposure, it is possible that large amounts of pesticides and herbicides are used on the farms from which these originate, contaminating groundwater, promoting erosion and otherwise damaging local ecosystems. To help promote the health of the planet as well as your own health, it’s best to buy organic whenever possible, including when you are purchasing the foods listed above.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, check out the list of 12 foods that you should always buy organic.

Alarming new research from Sweden on the effects of radiation raises fears that today’s youngsters face an epidemic of the disease in later life

Children and teenagers are five times more likely to get brain cancer if they
use mobile phones, startling new research indicates.  The study, experts say, raises fears that today’s young people may suffer an “epidemic” of the disease in later life. At least nine out of 10 British 6-year-olds have their own handset, as do more than 40 per cent of primary schoolchildren.
